Keep in Touch With Customers using Live Chat

Living in the digital age, enabling potential customers to ‘chat’ with you online is becoming more popular.

Online chat is fast, free and low-barrier.

We have recently added ‘website live chat’ boxes to many of our clients’ websites including our own and it is proving to be a popular communication channel. I may visit a website and have a quick question, I will probably be multi-tasking and may not have time to call or even complete a form and the ‘chat’ box is welcome, the website will then capture my details and the conversation begins.

The website live chat system we use is called Tidio. Tidio is free for up to 3 chat operators and you can chat to up to 100 unique visitors per month. There are paid options with more benefits, but the free option is a great way to start, we can install the software, guide you through the setup and away you go.

And don’t worry, you don’t need to be sat at your computer all day in case someone would like to ‘chat’, there is an app for your phone, which will pop up with the chat message and you can start the conversation, so you can be anywhere and still offer support, advice or simply arrange a call. There are also ‘out of hours’ settings, so the chat is only active when you’re in the office or you can set a default message e.g. ‘We’re not in the office right now but please leave your number and we’ll call you back’.
